EDS Conference

The Educating Diverse Students (EDS) Conference brings together educational professionals who work with diverse students from all educational levels and program types. It aims to provide participants with an intensive, highly collaborative conference that provides educators professional learning opportunities to improve one’s practice to support diverse students and their families. The EDS Conference is dedicated to redefining educational communities and professionals.

Keynote Speaker - TBD

Keynote address will focus on strategies to redefine educational communities that are conscious of the role race and culture play in pedagogy and leadership practices; and provide the tools, skills, and knowledge for educators to challenge and disrupt the patterns and policies of systemic inequities.

The Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground

The Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground (HTC)  at Boston University embodies the values and principles of the EDS Conference. HTC is an institution that provides a space for real conversations, shared experiences, and for individuals coming together to solve real problems. The EDS Conference embraces the values of HTC and will  push the boundaries of educational professionals to think more deeply about the challenges that represent our diverse students and discuss ways to address the inequities that often hinder their achievement.

About Dr. Howard Thurman
